Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Duties: LVW Electronics is seeking an experienced accountant assist LVW’s financial department regarding our Department of Defense contracts as well as our general accounting requirements. This position maintains or oversees the maintenance of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. Duties also include review and verification of the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records, and the preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports. This position also may include the design, modification, installation, and/or maintenance of general accounting systems to provide records of assets, liabilities, and financial statements.

Skills: Must be proficient in the use of common office computer software including MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project) to create spreadsheets, compose messages, PowerPoint presentations, reports, and various other company and professional documents as needed. Must possess excellent relationship skills and both written and verbal communications skills. Must have a strong working knowledge of common accounting practices associated with the execution of federal contracts. Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail. Experience with Common Accounting Standards (CAS) a must.  

Desired Education: Must possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited institute of higher education. Coursework, certification or training in contract management, accounting and administrative duties a strong plus.

Experience: Must demonstrate at least 5 years of experience, with at least 2 years of experience specifically regarding federal contract programs.

Compensation: Depends on experience, education and technical abilities.
